Our course is for anyone looking for an accessible introduction to these topics. You might be a concerned citizen, or someone who works in a field like politics, media, education, government or law. The difficulty level is similar to the first-year of an undergraduate degree. No prior knowledge is assumed.

This MOOC is organized within the strategic theme Institutions for Open Societies (IOS). This is one of the four interdisciplinary research areas of Utrecht University. IOS research focuses on the development and growth of healthy open societies everywhere.
