The Geochemical Society and European Association of Geochemistry have announced Prof. Gert de Lange one of the 2015 Geochemical Fellows. The honorary title of Geochemical Fellow is bestowed upon outstanding scientists who have, over some years, made a major contribution to the field of geochemistry.

Gert de Lange holds the chair in Marine Geochemistry & Chemical Oceanography in the Department of Earth Sciences. Together with him, the 2015 fellowship is awarded to twelve nominees. Among the other laureates is Prof. Philippe Van Cappellen, former Utrecht chair in Geochemistry and currently at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

The new Geochemical Fellows will officially receive their honor at the 2015 Goldschmidt Conference, to be held in Prague in August.
