Diversity and Inclusion Highlights 2018-2019 presented

Results achieved by the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force

On Tuesday October 1 the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force presented the Diversity and Inclusion Highlights 2018-2019. This date is no coincidence: October 1 is national Diversity Day. This day has been has been created by Diversity at Work, an organisation that stimulates diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Diversity and Inclusion Highlights 2018-2019 are available in English and Dutch.

 Using your full potential

Utrecht University stimulates diversity and inclusion within education, research and the organisation and wants to create equal opportunities for all. Only when you can be yourself, you can use your full potential. Utrecht University wants everyone to feel welcome, regardless of  gender, cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, age or ability.

Since 2017 the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force plays an important role in booting the discussion about diversity and inclusion. Additionally, the Task Force stimulates policy and supports initiatives. The Strategic Plan 2016-2020 is about halfway through its allotted time. The Task Force Diversity and Inclusion presents the Diversity and Inclusion Highlights 2018-2019 to give an update about current themes and successes.

Diversity & Inclusion Award 2020

Starting this year, Utrecht University presents the annual Diversity & Inclusion Award. Its aim is to express the university’s appreciation for the various initiatives that have been undertaken by students and employees contributing to an more diverse and inclusive university. This year again students, employees and teams can be nominated for the Diversity & Inclusion Award. Nominations can be sent to diversity@uu.nl until November 15, 2019.
