Autumn call for Research Engineering projects

To help Utrecht University staff set up their workflow when using software tools and computational services, the Research Engineering team makes its expertise available. Until 1 February 2024, you can submit your application to be considered for the contribution of a specialist to your research. This way, you can experience how research engineering can improve your work and help you make more impact with your research.

Software tools and data - and computing services are integral to research. A combination of several services and/or tools is often used. How do you ensure that this workflow is still understandable, reproducible, and reusable? Sometimes you run into problems for which you need an expert. Through this call, you can qualify for the help of a research engineer in your research.

Criteria for application

Your proposal for support in your research should meet the following criteria:

• You have time to manage the project;
• You have a permanent appointment at Utrecht University;
• You would like to work according to FAIR principles;
• You would like to reuse the workflow multiple times for research as well as make it reusable for other research;
• You need the Research Engineering team for expertise in creating an efficient workflow.
