  • Dr Stefanie Massink (Programme Coordinator)

    Dr Stefanie Massink is Assistant Professor in the History of International Relations at the Department of History and Art History. Her research mainly focusses on the international politics of small states, Dutch foreign policy, Spanish history, and Dutch-Spanish diplomatic relations in the long twentieth century.

  • Dr Paschalis Pechlivanis (Programme Coordinator)

    Dr Paschalis Pechlivanis is Assistant Professor in History of International Relations at the Department of History and Art History. His research interests include the (Global) Cold War, US Foreign Policy and post-1945 European and Balkan History. Dr Pechlivanis is also one of the coordinators of the Cold War Research Network (CWRN).

  • Dr Marloes Beers

    Dr Marloes Beers is Assistant Professor at the section of History of International Relations (UU History). This includes the organisation of the Meet the Expert events within the MA. Her research and teaching includes the history of EU, international energy politics and Small states’ strategies in international relations.

  • Dr Francesca Hooft

    Dr Francesca Hooft is an Assistant Professor in the History of International Relations at the Department of History and Art History, a member of the core-team of the MA International Relations in Historical Perspective and the MA’s Internship Coordinator. Her research interests include military interventions, humanitarianism, the use of violence by state and non-state actors, transitional justice, and the relationship between conflict and the environment. She published on the role of medical personnel in military operations, focusing on issues concerning identity, agency in decision-making, and ethics.
