Plants are firmly rooted in one place and may seem to have few options to respond to their surroundings. They cannot flee, cover themselves or move to safer ground. Are they simply at the mercy of fate? Or do they have ways to ward off pests and protect themselves from soil stresses such as drought, salinity and flooding? And if so, are they able to help each other somehow? Walk with us through the Botanic Gardens to find out!
Sharing Days
Every year in June, the Sharing Days take place in Utrecht. This alumni event with festival vibes offers a jam-packed program with numerous activities in the fields of science, research, sports and culture. Spread across locations on the Science Park and in the lively city center of Utrecht, the Alumni Office facilitates workshops, tours, master classes and other festivities especially for all alumni of Utrecht University.
