On Thursday 6 June, Utrecht Union students will talk to Niki Korteweg: science journalist with solid roots in neurobiology and a keen eye for the latest developments. The conversation will include coping with stress and burnout, but will also cover her career as a science journalist. At the end, there will also be time to ask your own question.

Niki Korteweg

Niki Korteweg holds a PhD in molecular neurobiology and writes for NRC Handelsblad and NRC.next, among others. Last year, she was named European science journalist of the year. She is also the author of the book 'A better brain'. The book covers various aspects of how the brain works and how we can optimise it for better functioning.

Sharing Days

Every year in June, the Sharing Days take place in Utrecht. This alumni event with festival vibes offers a jam-packed program with numerous activities in the fields of science, research, sports and culture. Spread across locations on the Science Park and in the lively city center of Utrecht, the Alumni Office facilitates workshops, tours, master classes and other festivities especially for all alumni of Utrecht University.
