Critical Pathways and Casco Art Institute warmly invite you to this workshop by Critical Pathways Fellow Tonio Flores.

How might we create a future where food, land, and ecologies are in synergy? Who is charting the course of food futures?  Through a co-creative process, we aim to craft a layered understanding of our community’s perspectives and lived experiences of food and nourishment in a globalized economy, and how might we map out pathways for regenerating our relationships with our ecology while feeding ourselves.

With the recent Dutch farmer protests concerning the nitrogen crisis, long-standing hunger in developing economies, and the emergence of food justice movements in the Philippines and the Global South, a community dialogue invites participants to reflect and co-create a shared manifesto for food justice. This manifesto will continually evolve as it is exhibited for the public to revise, delete, or add layers to the installation.

We aim to invite a wide range of people involved in food systems such as farmers, agriculture practitioners, conservationists, researchers in the fields of the social sciences, agriculture, biodiversity, and other allied fields, policymakers, activists artists, consumers, and the wider public. The goal is to be as close to the diversity of actors representative of the Utrecht food system.

The manifesto will be presented at Casco Art Institute together with a sound and image installation.
