Profile

Wilmar Schaufeli is full professor for work and organizational psychology (0,4) and distinguished research professor at KU Leuven (Belgium). In addition he is visiting professor at Loughborough Business School, UK, and Jaume I Universitat, Castellon, Spain.

He is registered clinical psychologt (1986), registered health-care psychologist (1999), and registered occupational health psychologist (2001).

Curriculum vitae

Wilmar Schaufeli (1953) graduated as clinical psychologist from Groningen University (1978), The Netherlands, where he worked as assitent professor till 1988. In that year he received his PhD (cum laude): "Unemploymnet and psychological health". From 1988-1994 he was employed as associate professor at Nijmegen University, The Netherlands, and since 1994 he is full professor for Work- and Organizational Psychology at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. From 2000-2005 he was scientific director of the national research institute "Psychology and Health". From 2008 till 2011 he was senior consultant at Schouten & Nelissen and from 2102 till 2013 he was Scientific Research Director at 365, a leading Dutch Occupational Health Service. Sice 2014 he is also affiliated as a distinguished research professor at the KU Leuven (Belgium).

These types of work related well-being are invesigated using - amonst others - tye Job Demands Reseources model.
