Monique works as an Assistant Professor at the Education department. In her research, she mainly focuses on educational inequalities, meaningful learning and the (learner)identity development of students in secondary education. She adopts a holistic perspective that allows her to study both the school and out-of-school factors that inform adolescents' learning and development.
