Marie-Jeanne is a senior consultant and researcher working for USG Consultancy. She works as a project leader and researcher / consultant on (multi-disciplinary) third-party funding projects for a wide range of clients in the (semi) public sector. The focus here is on projects in the field of security and justice (Security of Open Societies) and on transition issues. Marie-Jeanne specializes in qualitative research.
Recent projects include:
• Research into sexual abuse and willingness to report within the community of Jehovah's Witnesses on behalf of the WODC (daily project leader and researcher).
• Reporting differently: Preliminary study for the promising agenda with new forms of accounting in cooperation with Nivel. Commissioned by the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers (project leader and researcher).
• Research into the Resilient Open Society for the national security strategy commissioned by the WODC and NCTV (project leader and researcher).
• Comparative country investigation into the state of emergency by order of the WODC (daily project leader and researcher)
• External evaluation of the AFM and DNB review process. Commissioned by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets and De Nederlandsche Bank. (Project Secretary of the Ottow Commission).
In June 2016, Marie-Jeanne obtained her PhD on a study entitled: Animal testing, 3R models and Regulatory Acceptance: Technology transition in a risk averse context. The research focused on the acceptance and implementation of alternative test methods for laboratory animals for the risk assessment of substances and products. The overall theme is technology transitions in a risk averse context. The doctoral research was a cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and USBO. The promoters were prof. Dr. B.J. Blaauboer (IRAS) and prof. Dr. C.F.M. Hendriksen (DGK and NVI) and prof. Dr. W.E. Bakker (USBO). The research is funded by the Doerenkamp Zbinden Foundation / IRAS and NVI.
