Prof. dr. F. (Frank) H.M. Verbeeten MBA (1969) is professor of Accounting at Utrecht University. Frank’s research focuses on the use and effectiveness of performance measures (including measures that capture sustainability activities and intangibles), the design of control systems and the role of the CFO and the finance department in organizations. He has published in international scientific journals (amongst others The Accounting Review; Organization Studies; International Journal of Marketing Research; Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal; and Management Accounting Research) as well as (international) practitioner journals (such as Strategic Finance and Executive Finance). Frank is joint editor of the Journal of Management Control, and ad hoc reviewer for several international scientific journals.
