I work as an educational advisor and project leader at The Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning. In this role I give workshops to academic teachers about innovative teaching methods. Furthermore, I coordinate the following projects:

• Edubadges
• Video in education (knowledge clips)
• MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)
• Student engagement (for example: UU's Student Think Tank)

The Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning (CAT) aims to support, inspire and facilitate teachers from Utrecht University in further improving their courses. Teaching staff can come to the Centre for training sessions that help them to further develop their teaching skills (teacher development). Next to that, the Centre focuses on educational innovation by offering teaching staff the chance to apply for funding for educational scholarship and educational innovations in their courses. Furthermore, the Centre itself coordinates innovation projects in which new didactic concepts and digital applications are being piloted, together with teachers and students, to make sure that Utrecht University’s education aligns with developments in today’s world.
