The focus area Migration and Societal Change has a vacancy for a Student Assistant (0.3 FTE)

The Focus Area Migration and Societal Change promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and experimentation between Utrecht University researchers, students, and societal stakeholders. More than 100 scholars from various fields such as anthropology, history, human geography, social and behavioural sciences, law, linguistics, media studies, philosophy, and religious studies, collaborate to gain new insights about migration. We aim to be an open university platform where knowledge is widely shared and communicated.

We currently have a vacancy for a student assistant (0.3 FTE) who has affinity with the mission and work of Migration and Societal Change. Tasks include:

  • Assisting and supporting the team members of Migration and Societal Change; 
  • Assisting in the organization of activities and events, such as conferences and workshops; 
  • Assisting in public communication such as website maintenance, Facebook, Blogs, LinkedIn.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic team player and good communication skills; 
  • Ability to work independently; 
  • Good proficiency in English;
  • Strong affinity with the profile of Migration and Societal Change;
  • Available for a minimum of 12 months
