Special issue of Early Medieval Europe on 'Carolingian Cultures of Dialogue, Debate and Dispute'

Prof. Mayke de Jong and Dr Irene van Renswoude edited a special issue of Early Medieval Europe on 'Carolingian Cultures of Dialogue, Debate and Dispute'.

Utrecht historian Dr Janneke Raaijmakers also wrote a contribution for the issue. Together with three authors from Oxford, Vienna and Paris/Tübingen they explore the possibilities and limits of the public debate in Late Antiquity and Early Medieval Western society. The authors affiliated with Utrecht University could publish their articles in Open Access due to the agreement between VSNU and several international publishers.
