Six projects have been awarded

Future Food Seed Money Call 2018

The Future Food Utrecht Hub has awarded its first seed money grants to six interdisciplinary teams.

Each project will receive € 20,000. The review panel selected the proposals based on:
- the potential contribution to strengthen the research within FFU
- the potential in successfully acquiring external funding
- the extent of interdisciplinary collaboration and new collaboration
- scientific quality and innovativity
- track record of the applicants.

The aim of the seed money grants is to stimulate new food-related collaboration within Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht and to support joint food-related proposals in external calls.

  • Towards resilient cropsPlant homeosatic mechanisms regulating root survival tipping points during flooding stress.

  • Empowering Chicken Natural Killer cells to eradicate pathogens by establishing their metabolic needs.

  • Future Food in the Mekong Delta (FuFMeD).

  • Perspectives of food producing companies regarding the design and content of food labels with focus on precautionary allergen labeling (PAL).
