Marie Curie European Fellowships for five Faculty of Science researchers

Five researchers have been awarded a Marie Curie grant from the European Commission for research at the Faculty of Science. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions support researchers at all stages of their careers, regardless of age and nationality, with a research grant for one or two years at a European university.

  • Debottam Bhattacharjee; supervisor: Jorg Massen (Biology) - Why do individuals cooperate? Exploring the behavioural, cognitive, and hormonal mechanisms overning cooperation in macaques.
  • Alberto Pascale; supervisor: Corne Pieterse (Biology) - Metatranscriptomics to discover root microbiome functions activated during recognition of stressed and non-stressed plants (MetaFun)
  • Lisa Tran; supervisor: Alfons van Blaaderen (Physics) - EXamining CHemistry and Nanoparticle Geometry Effects at the INterface of Liquid CrystalS
  • Matthijs Vakar; supervisor: Gabrielle Keller (Computer Science) - Semantically correct automatic differentiation
  • Anna Kaczmarek; supervisor: Andries Meijerink (Chemistry)
