Lunch lecture Susan van Schalkwyk 21 March

On Tuesday 21 March from 12:45-14:00, Susan van Schalkwyk will give a lunch lecture on the social role of the university, especially on how the curriculum can contribute to the fulfilment of that role.

What role does the university play in responding to societal needs? According to some, the university and its alumni have a responsibility to society, especially when society has also directly or indirectly contributed to their academic achievement. There are several ways in which the university can fulfil this responsibility. In this lunch lecture, Susan will focus on how the curriculum can contribute to this.

Susan van Schalkwyk is Director of the Centre for Health Professions Education at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Professor in Health Professions Education. She will visit Utrecht University in March and is happy to share her knowledge and experience with us.

This lunch lecture is part of the workshop and webinar (W&W) offer of the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning, please register using the regular W&W form below. Lunch will be provided.
