Lea Fuenfschilling new IOS Visiting Fellow

Strategic theme Institutions for Open Societies is pleased to announce that dr. Lea Fuenfschilling will come to Utrecht University as IOS Visiting Fellow. Fuenfschilling is an associate senior lecturer (assistant professor) at CIRCLE, Department of Design Sciences, Lund University.

During her visits in the period September 2019 to March 2020, Fuenfschilling will contribute to joint writing projects with different scholars at Copernicus Institute in the area of institutions and sustainability transitions. In addition, she will also work with other researchers on the topic of institutions. She will give an interdisciplinary seminar, open to all members of the IOS-community, and give a guest lecture for research master students. She will be accommodated by the Innovation Studies group at the faculty of Geosciences, and also work from the Institutions building in the city center.

Fuenfschilling’s research interests are centered around understanding sustainability transitions as well as industry emergence and renewal. In particular, she is interested in conceptualizing the co-evolution of institutions, actors and technologies in socio-technical systems.

Institutions for Open Societies

Institutions for Open Societies (IOS) is one of the four interdisciplinary research areas of Utrecht University. IOS research focuses on the development and growth of healthy open societies everywhere.
