John Robinson is Professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs, and the School of the Environment, at the University of Toronto; Adjunct Professor with the Copenhagen Business School; and Honorary Professor with the Institute for Resources, Environment & Sustainability at The University of British Columbia.

Prof. Robinson is a leading academic who engages in problem-driven interdisciplinarity in which research participants work in tandem with partners in the community to bring different forms of knowledge to bear on societal problems. His research focuses on the intersection of climate change mitigation, adaptation and sustainability; the use of visualization, modeling, and citizen engagement to explore sustainable futures; sustainable buildings and urban design; creating partnerships for sustainability with private, public and NGO sector partners; universities as societal test-beds for sustainability; art and sustainability, and, generally, the intersection of sustainability, social and technological change, behaviour change, and participatory community engagement processes.
