Information session ‘The rise of Artificial Intelligence in education’

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to improve the quality of education. That, by definition, makes it interesting. AI is still developing, there is plenty to talk about and discuss. ChatGTP (a computer programme that allows you to have conversations), for instance, is one of the latest developments and raises the question among teachers whether giving an essay assignment to students will still be possible in the near future. Enough reason, therefore, to discuss this together!

In this information session, we will start at the beginning: what exactly does AI mean?  What are the recent developments and what impact does it have on education? We will discuss this with the three experts within the UU in this field (Prof. Dr. Antal van den Bosch, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jan Broersen and Dr. Laura Koenders). They will also give educational and practical tips on the application of AI in education and there will be plenty of room to ask the experts questions.

Due to the pace at which AI is developing, its impact on education and questions from teachers, the organisation has decided to add an extra day to the upcoming Teaching and Learning Inspiration Days to accommodate this session. On Thursday, 2 February, from 11.30 to 13:00, you are welcome to attend. You can register via the registration form. The language of this session is Dutch, questions can also be asked in English.

Please note: have you already registered for the Teaching and Learning Inspiration Days and would you also like to attend the session on AI? Then we ask you to send an e-mail to cat@uu.nl; you cannot resubmit and/or complete the form but attending is of course possible!
