Future Deltas Call 2017

Submission

Applicants should use the seed-funding application form. Proposals should be submitted to: s.vanasselen@uu.nl.

Review procedure

The proposals will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary committee. The committee will review the proposals within a month after the submission deadline (before 15 April 2017).

Budget

The total budget of the 2017 Future Deltas seed-funding call is €75.000. Researchers can apply for funding to support:

• Writing research proposals;
• Pilot projects contributing to e.g., scientific publications, research proposals, valorization activities.

Criteria

Proposals should meet the following criteria:

• The proposal should fit the Future Deltas scope and one of the main research themes (Land subsidence, Flooding, Salinization of ground- and surface water).
• The proposal should be innovative and have a high potential to generate future research funding.
• The main applicant should be affiliated to the Faculty of Geosciences, Faculty of Science or Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance of Utrecht University.
• The maximum budget to apply for is €15.000.
• There should be one or more clear deliverable(s).
• We encourage interdisciplinary proposals submitted by researchers from different UU departments.
• We encourage collaboration with external parties.
• We encourage activities or projects that include a valorization activity. Priority audiences for Future Deltas in 2017 include: policy makers, politicians, academic peers, knowledge institutes and the media (aimed at a wide range of audiences including those mentioned above and people who live in potentially affected areas)
