European Learning & Teaching Forum 2020 in Utrecht: call for contributions

On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 February 2020, The European Learning & Teaching Forum will take place in Utrecht. This annual Forum is organised by the European University Association, which has chosen Utrecht as host-city for the 2020 edition. The Centre for Academic Teaching is responsible for the organisation of the Forum from the UU. The Learning & Teaching Forum provides a platform for deans, education directors, academic staff and researchers interested in learning and teaching. Students, policymakers and other stakeholders are also welcome. There is a limited number of participants (250 in total), but as a host university we are allowed to allow more participants to participate than from other cities.

Balancing tradition and change

The theme of the 2020 Learning & Teaching Forum is Balancing tradition and change. Academic education for students has changed considerably in recent decades, and is still changing. The expectation of what the university should mean for society is also no longer the same. With the theme Balancing tradition and change, the 2020 Learning & Teaching Forum investigates how universities try to find a balance between proven practices and innovative approaches to learning and teaching in the dynamic university environment.

The call for contributions for the 2020 L&T Forum is now open. Proposals on the theme of Balancing tradition and change can be submitted until Tuesday 1 October. Download the call and submission form from the EUA website. We would like to stay informed about the submitted proposals, so we kindly ask you to put the Centre for Academic Teaching (cat@uu.nl) in the cc when you submit.
