Education programme about animal-free innovations comes to life

TPI Utrecht receives  50.000 euro project funding from the alliance TU/e, WUR, UU, UMC Utrecht for setting up an educational course withing the alliance about the Transition towards Animal-Free Innovation. It targets participants of all levels: bachelor students, master students, PhD students and professionals. The concept thus ties in with LifeLong Learning.

The approach is based on ChallengeBased Learning. A mixture of students and stakeholders from the private and public sector will be brought together in a challenge around real questions and dilemmas from practice. In this way, the different types of participants will exchange insights, experiences, and competencies, and together achieve better results. Equality-based cooperation creates opportunities to broaden perspectives and learn new skills. Theory flows into practice and practice influences theory development.

The initiators, including project leader Daniela Salvatori from Utrecht University, Erik van der Spek from Eindhoven University of Technology, and Ludo Hellebrekers from Wageningen University will now start developing the course.
