687 million euros for UtrechtInc startups in 2019
The startups from Utrecht-based incubator UtrechtInc have collectively raised 687 million euros in funding in 2019.
Similar to last year, this milestone is mainly thanks to recent investments in alumni Argen-X and GitLab. 2019's results bring the total of investments in UtrechtInc startups from 2009 - 2019 to 1.6 billion euros.
In ten years time, UtrechtInc has supported 217 startups, of which 64% is still active or was acquired. These startups have collectively created 2,560 jobs.
Incubator at Utrecht Science Park
Business incubator UtrechtInc supports entrepreneurs and researchers with an innovation to a successful company. During the validation programme, startups learn to understand their product, customer and business model in a few months’ time.
The programme offers workshops, activities for team building, affordable office and co-working spaces at Utrecht Science Park, mentorships and introductions to relevant partners and investors. Participating teams consist of at least one researcher, student or alumnus from Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht or UMC Utrecht.
