Title: Creativity under Pressure

Abstract: Creativity is a form of thinking that is supported by the dynamic interaction of the default network (DN) (task unrelated thoughts) and the executive control network (ECN) (task-related thoughts) in the brain (Vartarian, Saint, Herz & Suedfeld, 2020). Creativity skills are curiosity, open-mindedness, imagination, and problem solving. These skills are needed to experience efficient and pleasurable trajectories in work and education. Creativity and creativity skills are unfortunately under pressure due to external and internal influences, like world crisis (climate crisis, corona-pandemic, war), extreme high standards in academia, social unsafety, maladaptive perfectionism (anxiety), demotivation (mood), ill-being. In this seminar some insights and tools are presented to be able to cope with external and internal pressures and to enhance your creativity.
