Balance - Coping with Stress and Pressure (PhD Psychologist) (Online) - REGISTRATION CLOSED
Trainer: Drs. P. C.M. Meesters (Paula), PhD-psychologist
The aim of the workshop Balance – Coping with Stress and Pressure
The aim of this workshop is to make you aware of and enhance your personal qualities (i.e., your ‘strengths and weaknesses’) in (re)finding your balance. By increasing your skills in purposeful self-reflection and interaction you will learn to cope better with stress and pressure: internal (thoughts) and external (feedback, criticism, conflict and (in)dependency). These coping skills are an important part of the ability to balance work and private life.
Teaching method
The workshop provides an equal balance between experience (opportunity to reflect on your personal development), observation and reflection (self-tests, discussion), theoretical background (Stress theory on primary and secondary appraisal and the 3 emotion regulation systems) and skills training (assertiveness). It is required you are willing to share some personal insights, values and cases.
