Floor Haalboom is a historian of science and medicine specialised in the modern environmental history of animals, livestock farming, veterinary medicine, zoonoses and One Health. At the UU Veterinary Faculty, Haalboom teaches history of veterinary medicine, animals, and human-animal relations as a member of the UU Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities. She is also a member of the UU Centre for Environmental Humanities. She spends the majority of her time on the Dutch Research Council-funded Veni-project ‘What does your meat eat? A global environmental history of Dutch livestock feed (1954-2020)’, conducted at the Erasmus MC Medical Ethics, Philosophy and History department
