Her research centers around emotions and emotion regulation. She investigates mainly how this topic is connected to health behavior like in emotional eating. Mainly experimental research is conducted and it focuses on questions like 'How do emotions affect eating behavior?' and 'Why do certain emotion regulation strategies cause increased eating?'.
