Catharine Evers studied Health Sciences and Psychology at Maastricht University. She obtained her PhD at the University of Amsterdam on the topic of sex differences in anger regulation. After having been a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), she started at Utrecht University in 2006 as Assistant Professor. Currently she works as Associate Professor within the Social, Health & Organizational Psychology Department. Her research interests cover the field of self-regulation, health behavior, emotion regulation, and emotional eating.
