Professor Bob de Graaff is professor of Intelligence and Security Studies at the department for History of International Relations. From 2005 to 2010 he held the special chair for political and cultural reconstruction from a humanistic perspective. The chair was established by the Foundation Socrates. Fom 2007 until 2009 he was professor for terrorism and counterterrorism at the Campus The Hague of Leiden University. From 2010 until 2017 he was also professor for intelligence and security at the Netherlands Defense Academy. Currently (till 2022) he writes a history of the the Netherlands Defense Intelligence and Security Service.
