Wouter Vandenabeele is an Associate Professor Human Resources Management at Utrecht University and Visiting Professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).  He research focuses on behavior of public servants, in particular their motivation. He also does research on HRM and Evidence-based Management. He is a member of the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM), as co-chair of the Special Interest Group on Public Service Motivation. He is also a member of the European Group of Public Administration and the Public Management Research Association. He is an editorial board member of various national and international academic journals.
