The MACE program: Mathematics, Arts and Creativity in Education

General project description
The MACE project has the aim to increase students' creativity and ability in geometry and visual arts in grade 4, 5 and 6 of primary school, by integrating visual art and mathematics education (geometry). In collaboration with educational department of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, two primary schools and two institutions of higher education (teacher education), a teaching sequence for students and professional development program for teachers was designed to reach these goals. In an effect study, effects of the MACE program for students and teachers were investigated.
