Dr. Veerle Brenninkmeijer

Veerle Brenninkmeijer is working as an associate professor at Utrecht University, Department of Social, Health and Organizational Psychology, The Netherlands. She conducts research in the broad field of Work and Organizational Psychology, covering issues like well-being and performance in the work situation, career development of young professionals, job crafting, and reintegration of employees with mental health complaints. In her former job, Veerle worked as a researcher/consultant for the Netherlands Association for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). In this job she focused on long-term sickness absence, reintegration and activation of the unemployed. She wrote her PhD thesis at the University of Groningen on social comparison and burnout.
