I regularly supervise bachelor- and master thesis students from law, innovation studies and sustainable development. At this time I co-supervise several PhD candidates.

The research of Kees van der Wel is connected to the Local Inclusive Future Energy (LIFE) City Platform and focuses on the following research questions: what are the needs and preferences of energy consumers in Amsterdam Zuidoost and how can these needs and preferences be incorporated into the design of the local energy platform?

Mayte Beekman investigates how meeting places between policy makers, companies, societal and environmental organizations, such as negotiations towards the Dutch Climate Agreement and academic activities, can contribute to shared and accepted transition narratives and transformative actions. One of her case-studies concerns the Sustainable Industry Dialogue organized by the Sustainable Industry Lab

Pepijn Quast will start his research project in 2023 and focus on different forms and types of energy cooperatives, to save energy and jointly start heat projects. One of the central topics of his research concerns consumer empowerment and how law can enable this.
