My research focus is how the rock record preserves and modifies information such as evolutionary history and proxy records. To study this, I model a range of geological processes from mixing of sediments to the architecture of carbonate platforms.
Together with Emilia Jarochowska I have created an interactive web application that demonstrates how variable sedimentation rates distort affect the geological record. The app is available here and based on a model I developed during my Bachelor thesis.
