Nina Geerdink is assistant professor early modern Dutch literature. She studied Dutch language and literature at Utrecht University and obtained her PhD in 2012 at VU University Amsterdam. Her dissertation asks the question how Dutch authors from the seventeenth century Dutch Republic profited socially from their authorship, with the central case of the Amsterdam poet Jan Vos (1610-1667). Between 2016-2021 she worked on a NWO Veni Project entitled Poets and Profits: A new History of Dutch Literary Authorship 1550-1750. She also published on women's writing, visual culture and the entanglement of literature and politics. 

Nina Geerdink is a member of the editorial board of the journal Nederlandse letterkunde, a member of the board of Stichting Theater Kwast and Stichting Vooys, as well as of the Nominating Comittee of the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender (SSEMWG), and secretary of the board of Dr. C. Louise Thijssen-Schoute Stichting.
