Maaike Huijzer started teaching at the Molengraaff Institute for Private Law in 2022. Since 2024, she has been working as a PhD candidate at the Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law (UCERF). She conducts research on informal relationships. These are partners living together on the basis of an affective relationship without marriage or registered partnership. Her research is supervised by Wendy Schrama, Charlotte Mol en Femke de Kievit.
