Laura (Laurier) Hendricx works as Software Asset Manager for the corporate office Information and Technology Services (cluster Administration, department Continuity of Delivery Services). Software Asset Management (SAM) involves managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software applications within an organization. Setting up software policies and communication is an important part of SAM.
As a member of the Employees' consultative body (since 2013), Laura represents the employees of the Corporate Offices together with the other members. Since January 2020, Laura is also a member of the Network Diversity & Inclusion of the Corporate Offices (since January 2020; this network resides under the EDI Programme), an ambassador of Network USP Inclusive (since September 2021) and a core team member of Accessible Academia (since October 2022).
Besides working for the university, Laura runs a small web development business, Josepha.nl, is a keen Wikipedian and sings in a choir, the Wim Egz Ensemble.
Laura wrote several blogs and opinion pieces for DUB (the news and opinion website of Utrecht University) and gave input for publictions in several other media, such as NRC, De Groene Amsterdammer en EenVandaag.
