Project
Late-life depression and risk for Alzheimer's disease 01.09.2018
General project description

We know there is a temporal relation between late-life depression and dementia. The causal mechanism behind it is unclear. In this project we will examine the two leading hypotheses: glucocorticoid cascade hypothesis and the cardiovascular risk hypothesis. We will do this by using longitudinal data from two large cohorts of older people (AGES and SMART study).
