Kim Bergmans is head of the Research Data Support department at Utrecht University Library. This department aims to facilitate culture change in research in order to embed Open & FAIR in the way of working. In doing so, the sovereignty of those with whom we work is paramount. The department's services can be divided into five areas: consultancy, data literacy (training), infrastructure, metascience and community management.
The latter is particularly visible in facilitating the Utrecht Digital Competence Centre (UDCC).
The UDCC network is the central point of contact for all questions about FAIR, data, code & software and the UDCC is the contact for the Thematic DCCs.
As of February 2025, Kim is, together with the chair, quartermaster of the UU Research Data Board.
