Doris Hagedoorn (he/they) is a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University. He attended Leiden University for his BA History and obtained his master's degree for the MA History 'Politics, Culture and National Identities, 1789 to the Present' at the same university. Their current research concerns musico-theatrical representations of war and their role in nineteenth-century European security cultures, with the aim to establish a new musicologically-informed research perspective within the Security History Network.
