Christien Schrover is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University. She is interested in Flemish and Netherlandish art of the late Middle Ages, with a particular emphasis on technical art history. She is currently working on the project "The (R)evolution of Reconstruction: an analysis of digital facsimiles." This research focuses on the epistemic value of 3D facsimiles in art historical research, explored through the study of late medieval Netherlandish sculpture. Currenly, she is working on the Utrecht sculptor Adriaen van Wesel. Christien also has a special interest in the late medieval perception fo the body, as well as the interaction between medieval visual art and the senses.
