Carlotta Capurro is an Assistant Professor in Digital Heritage in the Cultural History section of Utrecht University. Her main interest lies in the ethics and politics of digital cultural heritage and data infrastructures.

As a postdoctoral researcher within the Art DATIS project (Digital Art Technical sources for the Netherlands: Integration and improvement of sources on glass for a Sustainable future), she worked on the digital accessibility of the personal archive of the Dutch glass artist Sybren Valkema (1916-1996). The archive represents an outstanding resource for the study of glass blowing in the post-war era and the Studio Glass movement. She was associated researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Art History (RKD).
