The research program 'Levensbeschouwelijke Vorming' (Religious and Worldview Education) focuses on the relationship between education and religion/worldview/philosophies in a broad sense, as it manifests itself at the macro level of educational policy and educational pillarization, at the meso level of civil society and institutions (for example 'the identity of schools' and 'the subject of religious edcuation') and at the micro level of the professional biography of teachers in relation to their life stances.
Since 2012, a partnership has been set up with HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. A coherent research program is being developed in the Center of Expertise under the theme 'Value Oriented Professionalization'.
In the joint research program of UU and HU, a research group of approximately 15-20 researchers works on the theme of LeVo/NP.
