Anouk is PhD student at the Utrecht University School of Economics. Her research interests include gender, family, development and health economics. She studies household information sharing and decision-making, household conflict and intimate partner violence, and contraceptive use.

Anouk is visiting Cornell University as a visiting graduate researcher during the 2025 spring semester.

Anouk obtained her bachelor (BSc.) in Economics and Business Economics from Tilburg University (2020) and her research master (MSc.) Multidisciplinary Economics (cum laude) from Utrecht University School of Economics (2022). 

In 2023 Anouk received the Best Master Thesis Award at Utrecht University.
