Hanneke taught the courses European (and International) Law, European Constitutional Law and European Migration Law. She taught, moreover, as visting lecturer, on the topic of European citizenship at Yeditepe University (Istanbul). Hanneke also taught European law in Zagreb in the context of the Judicial Academy (May and December 2012). In the current academic year Hanneke is involved in Regulating the EU Single Market, het Kernvak Europees recht, Citizenship in the European Union and European Law.
