Grants, loans and scholarships

Utrecht University, the Dutch Government and other organisations offer scholarships, fellowships and grants. Below is a list of the scholarships that are most often used by international students studying in Utrecht. 
Note that the scholarship options for programmes starting in February are limited.

BA means Bachelor’s programme and MA means Master’s programme.

Master students
Please note that scholarships are mainly targeted at students with very high results. We recommend that you also look for funds in your own country and through the Grantfinder website mentioned above.

Exchange
Exchange and visiting students are not eligible for a grant or scholarship from Utrecht University, but your home university may have programmes that you can apply for. You can also check the Grantfinder website mentioned above.
