My teaching philosophy is to convey multi-disciplinary research approaches to geoscience students. As such I integrate field-based geological teaching with education in the physicochemical principles that govern mineralogical and petrological changes in the solid Earth across the knowledgebase of students both at BSc- and MSc-level. I educate BSc students in field-based observations and at MSc-level my education goes beyond essential principles and addresses topics at the forefront of fundamental and applied/society-relevant geoscience research.

  • Coordinator Advanced Petrology: from microscopic properties to geological processes (GEO4-1435)
  • Coordinator Advanced Mineralogy: minerals as materials (GEO4-1417)
  • Lecturer in second-year BSc fieldwork Orogenesis (Veldwerk 2 Orogenese)
  • Supervisor BSc, MSc and guided research projects
