Graduate School of Social and Behavioural Sciences

The Graduate School of Social and Behavioural Sciences clusters all PhD and Research Master’s programmes of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Due to the combination of study and research, the Graduate School provides an ideal meeting place for Master’s students, PhD candidates and researchers.

The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences also participates in the Graduate School of Life Sciences with regard to her research master and PhD programmes.

The Graduate School is responsible for:

• The admission and examination of Master’s students and the quality of the research Master’s programmes
• The quality of the PhD tracks within the Faculty

With regard to this last aspect, the Graduate School mainly outlines and monitors the necessary preconditions whereas the actual quality assurance is the responsibility of the relevant research institutes and departments.

Excellent and productive

The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences boasts an excellent and productive research climate. All programmes within the research institutes are assessed every six years. During the previous term, many Faculty’s research programmes received highly positive assessments.
